Final Story: Resolution

The time had come. They had decided that it was now or never to summon those they would never rely on again, The Death-bringers.

Now, with the three demon hunters combined, they must now drive back the demonic invasion and aid in the reconstruction of the grimoire which is the Lexicon. A lexicon needs one catalyst to be effective. That is the blood of the Absolute; Satan. The three hunters must now drive back the invasion with the Light-bringers and venture into Gehenna to battle Satan and his Banes. Though Satan in a sense cannot be defeated; his blood MUST be obtained to close the gates between the realm of man, and Gehenna. After an intense battle through Gehenna, the three demon hunters managed to drive the invasion back. Now, they stood face to face with Satan and the battle of their lives. An attempt to acquire Satan's blood.

Final Story: Conflict

The director of CROSS, Archer Cross, was mortified. He was out of options. The Vatican had been taken over by The Banes and several locations around the world were falling to Servitors, Tempters and Specters. There were no other options. He called a meeting of the Seven. The meeting involved religious leaders from all seven continents, of various and diverse practices. Archer believed mankind was on the brink of extinction and needed to call upon those they would never rely on again. The Seven deliberated for several hours while their Light-bringers fought and died on the battlefield. The time had come. They had decided that it was now or never to summon those they would never rely on again, The Death-bringers. Those whose holy crusade was so extreme that their exploits had only lead to death. Something that goes against the ideals of saving the innocence and bringing those possessed back to life. A boundary CROSS swore never to cross again. But those who were attacking the realm of man were no longer innocent humans being possessed. These were monsters and demons that had their chance in life. Death was the only absolution. You know them today as myths and legends; CROSS calls them Death-bringers. Alucard Tepes, the son of Dracula and first of the Dhampirs whose powers as a half-vampire have helped with the slaying of many demons. Van Helsing, historically one of the most renowned demon hunters of all time. The last and final Death-bringer, Hattori Hanzo, historically known as the ninja who protected Tokugawa Ieyasu during the Edo Period; but was a secret agent in charge of dispatching paranormal and demonic entities of the time. The Death-bringers do not adhere to religious ideals. The only thing they do, is slay demons and lay them to rest. Which is something CROSS had sworn never to do again.

Final Story: Setup

For several years CROSS has trained some of the strongest exorcists in history. It was a secretive organization built underneath the foundation of the Vatican to combat the more physical and powerful demonic forces. Little of this world is known to humanity as they work covertly and exorcisms are performed within a Lexicon Barrier which separates the realities within from those outside. These barriers are powered by the Lexicon which resides in the Vatican under the protection of their greatest Light-bringers, the strongest Exorcists in CROSS. Light-bringers specialized in exorcisms that brought light to those possessed, saving the innocence.

The organization of CROSS was spread thin this night. But that wasn’t the catalyst that brought upon the Fourth War. Banes, who were direct emissaries to Satan, had begun their assault on several holy locations around the world. CROSS was immediately put in a precarious position as this. Hell or Gehenna as CROSS refers to it has never made such a bold and brazen move before. But it had to make a decision. They summoned the Light-bringers from Vatican to deal with the Banes of Decay, and Corruption. However, this was according to Satan’s plans. The Bane of Shadows would disguise himself as Decay, leaving the real Decay free to move. Under the cloak of Shadows, Decay infiltrated the Vatican and laid to waste the Lexicon. The Barrier which served as the shelf that separated mortal races from the demonic world had been destroyed. Mankind was now under full attack, innocents and civilians now dragged into this holy war.
